Wigan Athletic have completed the signing of Jason Koumas from West Bromwich Albion.

The Welsh midfielder has joined for a fee of £5.3million on a four-year deal at the JJB Stadium.

Koumas was recently voted as the best player outside of the Premiership and had attracted interest from Everton and Aston Villa.

Chris Hutchings has already brought in Titus Bramble, Mario Melchiot, Antoine Sibierski, Carlo Nash and Andreas Granqvist during the summer.

West Bromwich Albion signed Koumas from Tranmere back in 2002 for a £2.25million fee.
